5 Important Things You Have To Have To Make Money On Twitter

Start by being clear on you final goal.  Is the light at the end of tunnel for your twitter page to grow a list?  Is Twitter just a social outlet for you if so then read no further.

Think of Twitter page a the start of a sales funnel where the next stage is your friendly blog. Some Twitter experts advice to lead twitter friends to a landing page I disagree on the grounds that it to strong of a sale.

If you want a use twitter for personal and for business then I highly recommend having separate Twitter accounts.

Do these five steps for a successful business following on Twitter

Step One Use a business design

All the other business twitter pages just use the standard free backgrounds but YOU want to stand out so use a unique custom built twitter sie.  Your Twitter site needs to pop!  Someone visits you want them to think well of your professional design.   A useful free source to make custom background is twittbacks dot com

Step Two Picture with a big smile

You want people to connect with you from your picture.  A picture is a way for other to get to know you.  You photo needs to be well planned you want others to look at it and feel like they want to get to know you.  Now is not the time to get a Sears Portrait! Rather you want a personal fun photo think L.A.

Step 3 Post A Phone Number

I know most of you are thinking are you crazy I would never put my phone number on my Twitter page. Prehaps the idea that anyone could call you scares you. With my own personal experience I recieved almost NO prank callers but I did received many new customers! I suggest you get a free Google phone number or use a paid Skype number for five dollars per month with a voice message.  With a proudly displayed phone number you will be more accessable and trusting to potential custmoers.  Place you business line on your Twitter background since Twitter does not allowy phone numbers on the page.

Step 4 Display your Contact Email

I am shocked at how few business owners do not put a simple email on their Twitter page.  So might be worried about receiving email spam not to threat.  Start by getting a google email account they have the best anti-spam system build in to their emails. Second list your e-mail and replace @ with [at] Lastly, like a phone number on Twitter you will need to put your email as part of your background.

Number Five. Good Tweets

Deliver quality stuff that is tailored to your followers wants and desires. You need to entertain them.  Always ask yourself if you were following you would you read your own tweets?

As a general rule tweet four interesting tweets to one tweet that takes followers to a free offer in which they sign up.

Steady eddy applies here to you want to tweet regularily.  Keep on the top of your followers awareness by regular tweets. Avoid tweeting like a spammer with many tweets in a day.
